==Adaptations:== Structural: *Tough modified leaves with small bladders (pockets) that store water to prevent getting dehydrated. *Bladders also contain air enabling it to float above other plants and compete for light. *Strong attachments to rocks to prevent being washed away by waves. Functional (Physiological): *Slime coat that helps prevent drying out when exposed to to air / wind. Behavioural *Growing in big groups reduces the surface area that's exposed / helps trap water between branches. This helps prevent drying out during low tide when it's exposed / out of the water. ==Other Info== Sea urchins , crustaceans and some fish Feed on Neptune's necklace Neptune's necklace makes it's own food using the suns energy in a process called photosynthesis.
